Creating a Variable Product

Below are simple instructions for creating a variable product, as well as a video tutorial, which walks you through the same steps.

Step 1: Access your Merchant Dashboard. On the left sidebar, click on the tab labeled “Products”. Then click the button that says “Add new product”.

Step 2: Fill in the product name. In the product type drop-down box that is auto-filled with “simple” select the option labeled “variable”.

Step 3: Begin filling out the rest of the product information.

Step 4: Once you reach the section titled “Attribute & Variation” Select the custom attributes and fill in the “name” with color, size etc., then fill out the “value” section with your variations of colors, sizes, etc. (Be sure that the checkbox “used for variations” is checked.)

Step 5: Press “Save Attributes”, then click on the new drop-down box titled “Add Variation”. Select the box that says “Create variations from all attributes.” This option will generate all of the variations for you.

Step 6: Fill in the details for each variation; (including image, price, size, etc.) then click “Save Product”.
